Overview
The Law Office of Romerlyns Alberic, PLLC ("Alberic Law," "we," "us," or "our") operates albericlaw.com. This policy describes information processed through the website, including consultation requests, secure administrative or billing areas, and privacy-focused website measurement.
Information You Provide
If you request a consultation, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, practice area or type of legal matter, referral information, and the contents of your message. We use this information to receive, evaluate, respond to, and administer your inquiry.
Submission of a consultation request does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not use the website form to send information that requires immediate action or that you consider highly sensitive before an attorney-client relationship has been established.
Cookieless Website Measurement
Alberic Law uses a first-party, cookieless measurement system for operational analytics and usage-based website billing. The public analytics system does not place an analytics identifier in a cookie, local storage, or session storage.
When a qualifying public page is viewed, the server transiently processes the network address and User-Agent information already present in the web request. Those values are used with a server-only secret and the current UTC date to generate a pseudonymous HMAC visitor hash. The raw network address and raw User-Agent are not stored in the public analytics table.
The visitor hash changes each UTC day and is not designed to recognize the same visitor across different days. It is used to calculate page views, unique daily visitors, and "Billable Visits." A Billable Visit begins with the first qualifying event for a daily visitor hash or when activity resumes after more than 30 minutes of inactivity.
Known automated traffic, authenticated administrator or creator activity, and protected administrative, design, and billing routes are excluded from this public traffic meter.
Analytics Information Retained
Detailed public analytics records may include the daily pseudonymous visitor hash, page path, timestamp, site identifier, approximate country and region, coarse browser family, operating system family, device category, and an external referring domain when available. We do not store the raw public visitor IP address, raw User-Agent string, or a persistent cross-day public visitor identifier in these records.
Detailed pseudonymous analytics events are retained for up to 90 days. Before they expire, the system creates anonymous daily totals and per-page totals that no longer contain visitor hashes. Monthly usage snapshots used to support invoicing are also aggregate records and do not contain visitor hashes.
Cookies
Public traffic measurement does not require an analytics cookie. Cookies may still be used when a person intentionally signs into a protected administrative or billing service. Those cookies are used for authentication, security, and requested functionality rather than public behavioral advertising.
Vercel Web Analytics
The website also uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated website performance and traffic information. Vercel provides its own privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service. Vercel's handling of information is also subject to its applicable service and privacy terms.
Consultation Email and Operational Records
Consultation information may be transmitted through our configured email service provider. We may retain limited delivery and troubleshooting information, such as recipient and client email addresses, practice area, message subject, delivery status, provider message identifier, and timestamps. The website delivery log is designed not to store the body of the consultation message.
Service Providers and Payments
We use service providers for website hosting, database services, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. These may include Vercel, Supabase, Microsoft or another configured email provider, and Stripe. Payment-card and bank-account credentials submitted through Stripe are processed by Stripe rather than being intentionally stored in the Alberic Law application database.
Administrative Security Logs
Protected administrator and creator services maintain separate security records for authentication, abuse prevention, and audit purposes. Those records may include login timestamps, role, operator session identifiers, source network information, and browser information. These security records are separate from public website analytics.
Security and Retention
We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled by the website. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods based on their operational, legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purpose. Aggregate billing and invoice records may be retained longer than detailed website analytics.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
